I, Artist, am play, am theater, am improvisation, am cinema, am dramaturgy, am writing, am movement, am technique, am acrobatics, am rhythm, am percussion, am explosion, am frenzy, am restlessness, am a flash of fury and jubilation that shines when the spotlights come on, when the camera starts rolling, and when the director says cut.

My name is Sebastián Contreras Rodriguez, I am a film and theater actor.

An actor specialized in physical theater and audiovisual performance with over eleven years of stage experience. The methodology I use for creation and for my work as a performer is primarily the technique of dramatic corporeal mime by Etienne Decroux. Thanks to this specialty, I value detail in acting work, precision, and subtlety. The way they impact rehearsals, on stage, and through the camera lens.

I focus my stage research on body training, on the infinite possibilities of movement, rhythm, and dynamics of a virtuous body, leading me to constant exploration of acrobatics, training, and physical work. I work every day to turn this ordinary and common body into an extraordinary magical element, organically orchestrated on stage to convey the beauty of the impossible. A plastic body is the pencil I need to tell stories. My great passion has always been the creation of epic, mythical, and fantasy dramaturgies, which unfold before an audience thanks to the magic of cinema and theater. Throughout my life as a creator and artisan of the stage, I have been passionate about heroic stories, where science fiction, magical realism, and fantasy intertwine, showing the most beautiful corners of the human soul.

An actor like me, versatile and multidisciplinary but skilled in his artistic practices, seeks the path of expression and staging in many countries. I am relentlessly obstinate with my art and through it, I want to transform reality into an opportunity for change, resorting to play, emotion, music, and movement to sensitize society a little with each of my performances.
